Our school extra curricula sporting organisation is based on a three tier system
Tier 1 - AIMS Games This is based on students competing at a high level and will be competitive at the International AIMS Games. Students have to meet specific selection criteria and be selected for specific sports to be involved.
Tier 2 - Super 11 Students are selected as part of a school team that will compete in our Super 11 Competition (Bay of Plenty/Poverty Bay Inter Intermediate Competition). Each specific sporting code will have set requirements for children to be selected.
Tier 3 - Eastern Bay of Plenty Sports If a student has missed out on being selected for a sport in tier A or B, they then have the option of being involved in the Eastern Bay of Plenty competition. Children who are selected in a tier 1 or 2 team, are not eligible to compete in these competitions. These teams will be managed by a teacher, but a parent or volunteer will coach.
Organisation Our school sports co-ordinator, Warren Mitchely will issue information in our school notices regarding students being involved in a EBOP competitions, as well as organising teams.
