Badminton has gained immense popularity among students at Whakatane Intermediate. This year, we are delighted to share the exciting news that we will be hosting a weekly competition every Friday during Term 2 and the majority of Term 3 for any students who are interested in competing in a structured competition. This provides children with a fantastic opportunity to actively participate in a competitive setting and further enhance their badminton skills. Additionally, our school will be forming select teams comprised of 10 boys and 10 girls each. These talented individuals will proudly represent Whakatane Intermediate in Tier 1 and Tier 2 competitions. This initiative not only fosters a sense of teamwork and sportsmanship but also allows our students to showcase their badminton prowess on a broader stage.
